Serious Business, Writing
Oct. 14th, 2007 10:20 pmIt's really too bad how much SERIOUS BUSINESS has been leaking into fandom recently. The world is a shitty, shitty place, my friends. Do fen really think that fighting with people on teh internets is gonna change that?
In non-serious news, I have been occupying myself reading lots and lots of books. I have also been busy working on an outline for a National Novel Writing Month project. What that really means is that I've been thinking a lot about it and not doing anything. I seem to require lengthy periods of inactivty to get started on things. It's like the story bubbles on the back burner of my brain while I'm not really paying attention to it. I haven't written anything but fic for quite sometime, so making up my own characters is fun, although it is kind of nice when they are all thought up for you.
I have an sparse outline for a sequel to An Apple On A Bough. So I really will have to write it sometime. Probably not during NaNoWriMo though. I tried to kid myself that I should finish it BEFORE that, but I got as far as the outline and then I gave up. There's something about that series that just makes me slow, slow, slow.
Sunday night sucks... the work week looms ahead and takes the enjoyment out of what time you have left.
